Call for Proposals
We invite the submission of proposals for inclusion in various presentation formats - facilitated workshop, panel, dialogue, paper presentation, etc. - for up to 90 minutes. The deadline for submission has passed so we are no longer accepting proposals. Presenters will be notified by Friday, October 21st.

- Care, critical consciousness, and social justice sensemaking; culturally responsive/sensitive engagement; authentic relationships; best practices
- Assessment (partnership and/or learning)
- Publishing
- Faculty development: “train the trainer”
Proposed Session Formats
Panel (90 minutes; 1 organizer and 3–6 presenters)Panel presentations can be focused on any of the session themes/topics above. Presenters exchange outlines in advance and discuss responses to the issue during the session. The organizer is responsible for recruiting presenters before submitting the proposal. We encourage the organizer to allot some time for Q&A.

Facilitated Workshop (45 or 90 minutes; 1+ facilitators)A carefully structured, hands-on, activity. The presenter(s) and participants may tackle a problem or develop specific teaching or partnership development techniques.

Dialogue (45 or 90 minutes; 1+ facilitators)Peer-to-peer facilitated discussions about a hot topic in critical community-based learning. The facilitator should have a strong knowledge base around the designated topic and be able to engage the audience in the discussion.

Paper Presentation (45 or 90 minutes)
A explanatory exhibit that allows for short, informal discussion between the presenter(s) and attendees. Paper sessions serve as an important and interactive forum for sharing ideas and for receiving feedback.
